ECCO Aqua T
ECCO Aqua T is a toric biocompatible monthly contact lens with UV filter. This lens is for wearers with higher astigmatisms than 0.50 dpt. The very good biocopatible abilities are based on a high water tying bionic material. The surface of the contact lens shows nearly a biomolecular structure like the mucin layer of the eye. The bio-compatibilty improves – like the natural mucin layer – the stability of the tear film and the wettibility of the contact lens. Hyaluronic acid as an ingredient in the unpreserved storing solution of the lens blister leads to a very good spontaneous wearing comfort of the lens. The natural wetting agent acts like a soft pillow between contact lens and cornea and cares for a comfortable feeling while inserting the lens.

For all wearers of spheric frequent replacement lenses with a remaining astigmatism of more than 0.50 dpt, who demand for the advantages of this biocompatible material.
Recommendations for lens-fitting
Determining factors are the glass refraction and the radius of the cornea. The position of the lens should be controlled in terms of centring, movement, remaining correction and stabilisation after one hour. Perversions up to 20° are tolerable. If there are visus relevant aberrations the re-order of the lens should take in consideration the direction of stabilisation and the optimisation of the refraction data.
